In 1983, he moved to Coopers & Lybrand, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1986. Julian Schild joined Morgan Grenfell after leaving Oxford University in 1981 where he read modern history. She believes strongly in the educational power of music and opera and has a keen interest in spreading music across diverse communities and boundaries and in attracting younger audiences. Patricia chairs the Friends of Westminster School Parents’ Committee and she is a member of the Westminster School Community Choir. Patricia is a member of a fundraising committee of the English Touring Opera which is devoted to taking opera into schools in deprived urban areas and she is on the music steering group of the charity, Stop MS. She is also a trustee of Westminster Opera Company, which nurtures young emerging opera artists and stages annual productions. She is a trustee of the Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival, which brings internationally acclaimed chamber performers to local audiences. After gaining her PGCE Secondary French and Hornsby Diploma she spent 16 years in teaching and special educational needs, including 10 years at The Hall School, Hampstead. Patricia spent 12 years in the City as an investment banker at Bank of Montreal and then Swiss Bank Corporation, using her bilingual skills with Francophone corporate and institutional clients, before turning to education.
